This was my very first fashion show and my first time putting on a whole club nite, so you can imagine how stressed I was! Regardless, it was still THE BEST NITE OF MY LIFE! I am so grateful to everyone who made it so special. I have the best friends in the world, and I promise to never take it for granted! I can't even begin to say how much I appreciate the way some of you went out of your way to make sure the nite ran smoothly. I was such a stresscase!! For 3 weeks leading up to the fashion show, Kevin and I were each pounding at least 3-4 Diet Cokes every nite trying to get as much work done as possible before we'd finally pass out at 4am. Then Kevin would wake up at 7am to go to work, and I'd get up and continue sewing. Our neighbors probably thought we were on crack!
Club Dollhaus went better than I could have ever hoped!! More than 250 people showed up, not counting our crew of models, makeup artists, hairdressers, helpers, etc. The weird thing is, I feel like I missed the whole thing because I was so busy working. But I'll have to believe everyone who told me it was rad, haha! Honestly, I was so convinced that things would go wrong. I had to peptalk myself beforehand to not be hard on myself if anything bad happened, since it was my first time and mistakes are to be expected. But amazingly, everything was perfect! I owe it to the endless generosity of all my friends who volunteered SOOOO much of their time to make this work. For real, wow. I love you guys so much! Am I starting to sound redundant?
Larry was happy with the turnout, so he's asking me to throw another party on Saturday November 4. MARK YOUR CALENDARS, FUCKERS!! Anyway, on to the pictures! The photo credits should be watermarked on most of them. But for the photos that don't have watermarks, I stole them and would like to thank my sister Van, Soybaby, Mandy, Jade, Black Mike & Ann, Stephanie Nguyen (Bubblesung), Liz Yada (MissAlphabet), Lil' Kimmy, and Matt!
Model fittings happened a week before the show. This was for me to see who looked good in which outfits and to make alterations if necessary. Don't they look like paperdolls? Awwww I love my models!

Welcome to the sweatshop! While waiting for our flyers to come back from the printer, Kevin's friend printed some out for us at his work. The shitty part was that we had to handcut them. Or should I say... we made Sinh and Jessica handcut them! :-D
Then we stopped by the Blank Club during closed hours to drop off flyers and hang posters. What are you two ladies looking at?

I was crying because during rehearsals, I thought Melissa said that at the end of the show I'd have to do a runway walk all by myself. Don't ask. That is what happens when you don't sleep and you live on 10 Diet Cokes a day for 3 weeks!

Whoa shit, that took me 2 hours to post! Anyway, some of you have written asking me when I'll be selling the clothes from my fashion show on eBay. Well, the answer is never! Haha. I'm doing something even better. Instead of selling them "as-is" and "one of a kind," I'm going to make duplicates of each design in different sizes and sell them on shrinkle.net in limited quantities at set prices. No bidding, no waiting forever for auctions to end!! Kevin and I are staying in all weekend to work on updating my website and turning it into an online shop. But don't worry, I'm not turning into a mass-produced Hot Topic or anything! I am only going to be making VERY small quantities of each design since some of the fabric I used is discontinued. So yeah! It'll still be special! :-)
